BIOGRAPHIE ET PRESENTATION DE AKON
Akon, de son vrai nom Aliaune Thiam, est né en 1979 au Sénégal. Ses parents quittent ce pays pour s'installer aux Etats-Unis où le jeune garçon découvre une nouvelle culture musicale et plus particulièrement le hip-hop.
Il doit à son père (Mor Thiam), percussionniste, l'amour de la musique et cette passion ne le quitte jamais, surtout dans les pires moments qu'il passe en prison pour de menus larcins. Là, Akon peaufine ses textes et s'accroche avec courage et conviction à la musique.
Il a raison car à sa sortie, après avoir fait le tour de quelques maisons de disques avec une maquette il est engagé pour sortir un album qui verra le jour en 2004.
"Trouble" est un agréable mélange de hip-hop et de soul, un style qui lui est bien particulier et les tubes "Locked Up" ou "Lonely" se vendent par millions d'exemplaire aux States comme en Europe. Son second album, "Konvicted", sorti fin 2006, dans la lignée du précédent avec entre autre le tube "Smack That" enregistré avec Eminem

Vrai nom : Curtis Jackson
Nationalité : Américaine
Métiers : Chanteur, Auteur-compositeur

Age : 32 ans

Curtis Jackson a grandi livré à lui-même dans le quartier jamaïcain du Queens, à New York. Né de père inconnu, il perd sa mère très jeune dans d'énigmatiques circonstances. Recueilli par ses grands-parents, il partage dès lors son existence entre petits délits et hip hop.

Impressionné par sa fougue, Jam Master Jay, le DJ du légendaire Run DMC décide de prendre sa carrière en main, carrière qui est rapidement récupérée par la griffe de Columbia Records, dès 1999. Il signera sous le label pas moins de 36 titres, tous compilés dans l'album "Power of a Dollar". Bad boy invétéré, il provoque et se met à dos les plus grands rappeurs du moment tels Jay Z, Big Pun ou Ghostface Killah.

Le 24 mai 2000, celui qu'on nomme désormais 50 Cent reçoit neuf balles de 9 mm en pleine figure. Il met plusieurs mois à se rétablir tandis que sa maison de disques le lâche. Mais loin de se démonter, le survivant crée le collectif G-Unit avec son meilleur ami Sha Money XL. Ensemble, ils composent plus de 30 titres et remixent les hits de ceux qu'ils dénigraient comme Jay Z ! Un second opus voit le jour : "50 Cent is the Future".

Eminem tombe dessus et place illico 50 Cent sous sa protection. Début 2003, Slim Shady l'invite sur la BO du film "8 Mile" pour lequel il signera notamment l'incontournable tube "Wanksta". Quelques mois plus tard, sort le premier album de la collaboration, "Get Rich or Dye Tryin'". 11 millions d'exemplaires ont été vendus à ce jour.

Désireux de voler de ses propres ailes, 50 Cent fonde son propre label G-Unit Records avec lequel il lancera les carrières de la chanteuse de R&B Olivia et de la star montante du hip hop The Game.

En mars 2005, son second album solo "The Massacre" continue d'asseoir sa domination dans le genre. A l'instar d'un certain 2 Pac... Comme toute star qui se respecte, 50 Cent s'est fait couronner par un film : "Get Rich Or Die Tryin' (Réussir Ou Mourir)", réalisé par Jim Sheridan.

En 2006, il a sorti les singles "Hustler's Ambition", "I'll Whip Ya Head Boy", avec Young Buck, ainsi qu'un jeu vidéo : "50 Cent: Bulletproof". Le joueur est invité à interpréter le rappeur... et à tirer dans le tas!
